Spend a day speaking, listening, thinking, and connecting in Russian through guided activities, authentic conversation, and immersive cultural experiences.
Limited to 3–6 participants to ensure plenty of speaking time and personal attention.
After 30+ years of teaching Russian, I've noticed the same pattern again and again. Many learners can discuss politics, history, or literature in Russian. Yet they struggle when conversations shift to everyday life: emotions, relationships, travel, family, opinions, or unexpected situations. The problem isn't intelligence. The problem isn't grammar. The problem is lack of meaningful exposure and use. A Russian Immersion Day helps bridge that gap...
Traditional Study; Russian Immersion Day
You learn new words and grammar rules; You actively use words and structures you already know in meaningful conversations.
Russian is often limited to onу lesson a week; You spend hours listening, speaking, reacting, and thinking in Russian.
Language is practiced through exercises; Language is used to solve problems, share experiences, express opinions, and connect with people.
You focus on accuracy; You build fluency, confidence, and spontaneity.
Culture is discussed; Culture is experienced through Russian food, hospitality, traditions, and natural conversation.
Russian is something you study; Russian becomes the language you use to communicate throughout the day.

Here's what participants said after spending a day speaking, listening, and living Russian.
Dave E.
Immersion Participant Michigan, USA
I had a great time. The food was fantastic, and the exercises were engaging. I especially appreciated how Marina corrected our grammar without interrupting the conversation—it made everything feel natural. Overall it was an excellent experience.
Erica J.
Immersion Participant Pennsylvania, USA
This was undoubtedly the most productive Russian learning experience I've had in five years of studying. It felt like I gained about two months' worth of speaking practice in a single day. My favorite part was the walk in the park where we practiced real-life situations in Russian. It was productive, fun, and I'm looking forward to attending again.
Common Questions
Every immersion is designed for intermediate and advanced learners, but every participant has different goals and interests. Before you register, we'll briefly discuss your current level and what you'd like to get out of the day to make sure it's a good fit.
Some advanced and professional Russian learners prefer just to jump into all activities with zero prep so they can activate their vocabulary and spontaneous speech skills right on the spot.
Most of the learners prefer to get the most of the Immersion Day by activating vocabulary they would need for the activities in advance, so I send them my professionally designed vocabulary guides and discussion resources that help them to participate in all discussions and review learning after the immersion.
So, it is up to you. When you contact me about an upcoming immersion, we'll discuss the best preparation strategy for you.
